He called me this morning, his first morning out of prison after 2 years. “Sister, do you see the sunshine and the snow? It’s so bright. And the smells are so different than antiseptic and institution. It’s almost overwhelming.”
Friends, at the start of 2016 let us always be amazed at the gifts our senses bring to our lives. And please pray for this young man, that in the many new awarenesses he may not be overwhelmed but supported back into the world we share.
